What is Dermaplaning?  The dermaplaning procedure is much simpler than it might sound! This painless treatment involves a sterile and gentle scalpel to take off surface debris, dirt, oil, dead skin cells and even “peach fuzz” (vellus hair).  Dermaplaning removes the top layer of skin, which triggers collagen production, leading to firmer and smoother skin. The collagen will also help heal acne scars and discoloration over a period of time.

 You should not receive  Dermaplaning if you have any of the following

Active acne (grade 3 or 4) 

Diabetes (uncontrolled, not under medical supervision)  

Blood thinners  

Tendency towards keloid scarring  

Recent treatments, including: laser, chemical peels, plastic surgery, microdermabrasion (on

           average 2-3 weeks post treatment, discuss with your esthetician)  

Certain medications that thin the skin (i.e. Retin A and Accutane)    

 Aftercare Treatment  

Proper post care is extremely important in helping your skin heal after dermaplaning just like if you were to receive a microderm treatment of chemical peel.    

Do not wash your face for 12 hours post-treatment  

Avoid the sun, heat or exercising for 24 hours—increasing the body temperature can cause irritation (and possibly injury) to the fresh skin  

Wear sunscreen and moisturizer 

Occasional stinging, redness and/or itching can occur during the first 24 hours, post-treatment. A calming serum is applied to alleviate these sensations. 

 Refrain from picking, peeling and/or scratching you may tear the skin surface causing a wound (and preventing normal healing)     
 

Basic Dermaplaning Treatment          $40

This session includes a cleanse, dermaplaniing session and cooling serum.  

Duration is about 30 min.

Ultimate Dermaplaning Treatment     $70

This session includes all of the benefits of the Ultimate Serenity Facial with all products and treatments designed for your skins needs and incorporates the dermaplaning session.  Your skin will absorb the special serums like never before!
